Anyway. I would like to extend a heartfelt thanks and a big, fabulous hug to my sewing machine Clementine. You, despite needing a tune-up and a srs deep clean, went from sewing through 8 combined layers of craft interfacing and knit fabric at the same time, to sewing through on layer of flimsy satin & gold lamé bias tape without a hitch. I love you.

I feel accomplished tonight. I finished K-fab's fabmittens (except the clasps), manties, skirt, and chestbelt! I also finished (read: glued a gem onto) Sailor Venus' tiara. And I also managed to snap the long creepy neck of my creepy wighead in half, so it is now held together with E6000, painter's tape, and a green ribbon (for prettiness, of course). It's also slightly purple with K-fabs fabulous, fabulous face etched on in bright blue sharpie & gold glitter glue. You don't get much more fabulous than K-fab.

I *still* haven't heard if my leave request, which I submitted on January 7, 2009, has been approved for the Thursday & Friday of Katsucon. That is just ridiculous. Too bad if they need me those days, because I'm going anyway, because really, they should've told me way before this if I can't go.

Oh. And yeah, those fuckers who live below me? Totally called the cops on them on Saturday. It was like, 1 AM. And their music/vidya game was shaking my floor, it was so loud. So I go downstairs, say the following:

"Look. I'm not an asshole, nor am I unreasonable. You're probably sick of me coming down here. I'm sick of coming down here. Just please turn your stuff down by 11:30 and I'll stop bugging you. Okay?"

And the dude, who is this fat, greasy, emo-glasses-and-emo-hair smelly nerd, gives me the nerd 'tude and says, "Yeah okay, WHATever.", slams the door in my FACE, and he and his stupid pothead roommate turn their shit UP. Yup, they turn it up. The fuckers. So I called the cops. It was so satisfying to hear the cops' Gestapo-like knock on their door, and the abrupt silence that followed their visit. Ahhh. And I'll do it again too if they piss me off again.

Ok, sleep time, because now that I'm not completely absorbed in my wonderful sewing machine, I am butt tired.

P.S. I need a new job. Someone hand one to me or something. XD

It was a wonderful long weekend. Spent Saturday & Sunday afternoons cossupuraying with saundetr, terra_firma, her hubby Kevin, kissokomes, and oh_frabjous_day at Audrey's parents' house. I finished messing with Kuja's jacket ONCE AND FOR ALL (and now it looks all nice and streamlined and not so bulky, yay!) and am half done with the trim for his (yes, "his") skirt & manties. Scarlet, Sailor Venus, and Nanami are all essentially completed, with just a few touch-ups needed, and should be done this week, which leaves over 3 weeks to finish Kuja, make Julia, and sew teh Ruka pants & construct the epaulets. Yay!! I'm happy with how steadily I've been working.

I've also been doing well-ish on the exercising/eating healthy front. I've cut out almost all crappy food (except Cadbury eggs, you can never take those away from me) but I'm still doing the whole "gonna eat cold lunchmeat for dinner" thang because I am too lazy to cook. I've been avoiding the gym because the heat's been broken for over a week now and seriously, I think I give the inside of my lungs windburn by huffing and puffing on the treadmill in friggin 15 degree weather. Stupid rental office needs to get the thermostat fixed already!

Anyway. On Monday Tyler and I ventured out into the snowy-yet-semi-warm outdoors in search of cadbury eggs & a catsuit pattern. He also cooked the most dericious dinner ever for me and caffeine_monkey and I made a yummy, HEALTHY chocolate mousse pie for dessert! Tuesday I woke up early, tried to log onto WoW only to discover that Tuesdays are (dur) the realm reset days, so instead I did some laundry and watched Buffy.

Oh, and I submitted a noise complaint about the fuckers who live below me. I hate them and their crappy techo music bullshit. Seriously, it woke Tyler and I up at like 6 AM on Tuesday, it's on until 3 AM on a regular basis, and even when they play it during regular "awake" hours it's so loud it SHAKES MY FLOOR. That is TOO LOUD, and I'm not sorry for being a grump about it. I've gone down there twice to be like 'hey cut it out' all polite like, and it NEVER STOPS. EVER. So. Noise complaint. Biz. :D

So, I got paid today and was able to put $300 in savings and $580 on my credit cards! So now one is completely paid off and the other is...getting there. :3 I <3 not having to pay for my car anymore coz that means my middle-of-the-month paycheck is basically extra money (except utilities, gas, and food, which only comes to about $400). And I discovered today that I AM being charged interest on my big credit card, boo. But it's only like 1.5%, so I'm actually pretty lucky. I'm sure the bank loves me constantly having a hyoog balance they can collect from.

Last night I got to spend some quality time with my love mans saundetr, and he put up with me being a giant tired fuss and watching Buffy and then just conking out as soon as I got in bed. Love you, darlink. :D

Oh!!! And I also got text messages on my phone!! YAY!!!! So if you suddenly receive an onslaught of crap from me, that's why.

I also got a tiny (think very wee) bit of costuming done last night, but I didn't work out (I'm going tonight to make up for my laziness), instead I slept for about 8 hours which felt WONDERFUL. I also think I just sleep better next to my man. My kat woke us both up at about 3am playing with her jingle toy, and I felt bad for taking it but srsly, sleep > jingle toy.

Mmm I can't wait for my four-day weekend.

--I met my cosplay goal for last night (cut out Kuja's shirt, fixed up Nanami's leggings, cleaned Nanami's shoes, and cut out strips for Kuja's bias tape)!
--Bought FLAT, thigh-high boots for Kuja (because it's more accurate and way more comfy) for cheap!

I was really cranky this morning because I was super tired, but now I'm just happy since my boss won't be breathing down my neck AND because I got so much accomplished yesterday.

I put on Nanami's leggings again after I'd sewn them back together and oh man, I forgot how totally ridiculous they look. They're like, tight yellow hotpants and black leggings. Yeeeeah the 80's!

My quads and inner thighs are good-sore today.

My coworker Faith invited me to her holiday party on Feb. 21st! I hope that's not when Wanderlust is planned coz I'd like to go, but...for realz? Larpin' takes precedence coz I have my social priorities straight, like a ruler, except it's one of those wiggly flexible ones. :D
